Colorado Stream Update: The water is open, and spring is near

Current Conditions at Eagle:

The Eagle is opening up and fish are cooperating. In result, there are a few more people out so be mindful of other anglers and stream users. Clarity changes as the sun warms up the snowmelt, so expect the water to be slighlt off color. Nymphing black midge patterns, and smaller stoneflies is very productive. There are also fish to be had on small streamers such as woolybuggers. Keep your strip slow or even try dead-drifting the streamer. High sun is still the most productive part of the day.

The weather is warming up outside and it is beginning to look like spring again! Mayflies are beginning to get active and are quickly becoming the preferred food.  The fishing is good.  Clear skies and 36-39 degree weather. The water temperature was between 32-35 degrees and Slightly Off.
