Current Conditions at Blue River Below Dillon:

The crowds are thick, as they tend to be, but the fishing makes it worth it. Red discos, black beauties, and cream colored miracle midges are all hooking trout right now. With the healthy flow it has the trout pretty spread out in the river so look for trout close to hugging the banks, in shallow riffles, deep shelves, and around submerged rocks/boulders. Mysis patterns are also working well but only when you're close to the dam.

It is cold in Denver, Colorado the fishing has been good but make sure to have a warm hat and a good pair of gloves. No need to be on the water early, wait for the sun to come up in order to warm up the water temperature. Fishing has been best from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and fly fishing trips have been catching lots of trout. Make sure you are getting a good drag free drift in order to hook fish. The low and clear winter water makes for excellent sight fishing conditions.  The fishing is fantastic.  Overcast skies and 20-23 degree weather. The water temperature was between 36-39 degrees and Crystal Clear.
