Colorado Stream Update: Bear creek is starting to free up... Just barely

Current Conditions at Bear Creek:

Although the majority of the creek is still a touch icy, the lower stretches of Bear Creek are just free enough to fish. Try running a dry-dropper rig, the sensitivity of the dry fly will act as a great indicator for smaller and more subtle eats. Small nymphs such as RS2's, and two-bit hookers are great choices for underneath.

As the weather warms the water is rising as well. Runoff is around the corner so hit your local streams around Denver/Boulder while you can!  The fishing is fair.  Clear skies and 19- degree weather. The water temperature was between 36-39 degrees and Crystal Clear.
