Current Conditions at Dream Stream:

Our best success has been on the upper part of the Dream fishing in and around the submerged boulders and the deep runs near Spinney. No streamer or dry fly action to speak of so come prepared to nymph. There are a variety of midge patterns that will work but the key is to go small-- sizes #20-24-- and get as good of a drag-free drift as you can. The trout are skittish so even any micro drag will put result in a non-feed. Also of importance, if you're nymphing with a strike indicator, keep it a little bit closer to your flies than you're used to. The strikes are incredibly subtle so moving the indicator closer will help read the extra sensitive strikes better. 5x fluorocarbon usually gets the job done but we had to drop down to 6x fluorocarbon before we got any real action.

The fishing is good.  Overcast skies and 20-23 degree weather. The water temperature was between 36-39 degrees and Crystal Clear.
