Current Conditions at Blue River Below Dillon:

With the higher water these highly pressured trout finally are feeling a bit more loose and free and so they're feeding pretty actively throughout the whole day. Mysis, Pheasant Tails, Black Beauties, JuJu Baetis, Barr's Emergers, Egg patterns, and SJ Worms are all working well under an indicator. You'll notice that is a large variety of flies they'll take and that's good news-- get a good drift and you should be able to hook a few up here right now.

Blue Winged Olive mayflies and an assortment of other small brown and olive mayflies are everywhere! For a good chance at hooking a big fish try dead drifting mayfly patterns. Get to the Blue River now! Lots of fish are hitting Mysis shrimp patterns below the dam.  The fishing is great.  Clear skies and 52-55 degree weather. The water temperature was between 40-43 degrees and Crystal Clear.
