Colorado Stream Update: As run-off subsides look for the fly fishing to get better and better on The Blue.

Current Conditions at Blue River Below Dillon:

The majority of the trout being caught here are still on nymph rigs but we've seen more and more trout come up to PMDs and Yellow Sallies. The key here is to continue to fish the soft pockets along the banks as the water moving through the middle lane of the river is just still too fast to hold feeding trout. Try fishing a Rubberleg Yellow Stimulator trailed by Barr's PMD emerger for great results.

Cover good looking spots with a big attractor fly such as a stimulator in sizes 12-16. For best results use a weighted bead head dropper to hook a few extra fish. Lots of pressure on the tail water sections right now. Head to more secluded areas on the Colorado and Roaring Fork for a little more solitude.  The fishing is fair.  Clear skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 44-47 degrees and Slightly Off.
