Current Conditions at Below Chatfield:

Denver Water is withholding water in Chatfield Reservoir for the time being, but with run-off around the corner look for flows to come back to normal very soon. Please view our reports on Waterton Canyon, Deckers, and Cheesman Canyon for better fishing on the South Platte.

Spring is the time of year to view wildlife! Look for Bald Eagles, Mule Deer, Wild Turkeys and other interesting fauna throughout the South Platte River drainage.  The fishing is awful.  Clear skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 44-47 degrees and Crystal Clear.
