Colorado Stream Update: The fishing is outrageous right now through the Bighorn Sheep Canyon section of the Arkansas!

Current Conditions at Arkansas:

If I had to use one word to describe the Arky right it would be an easy choice: Caddis! These guys are out in full force. During the early part of the day trout here are feasting on the caddis pupa emerging through the water column, in which you'll want to swing your presentation down river which will make your Graphic Caddis pattern look just like an emerging pupa. Once the trout start feeding off of the surface its time to ditch the dropper and go straight on with a single dry or even a double dry fly rig! Regardless of your specific pattern you use-- there are a few working right now-- make sure your pattern has a black colored body to it. 4x monofilament tippet is working just fine here.

The weather is warming up outside and it is beginning to look like spring again! A dry dropper combo has been productive. The water on Colorado‚Äôs favorite freestone streams has been running very high!  The fishing is fantastic.  Clear skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 52-55 degrees and Slightly Off.
