Colorado Stream Update: There are a tremendous amount of Stoneflies in the system right now!

Current Conditions at Deckers:

Fishing is a bit slow early in the mornings here but as the daytime temperatures warm up and the water column heats up with it, the feeding definitely picks up! Guides have not seen any real surface action quite yet so focus on nymph rigs for the next couple of weeks. Stonefly patterns in particular have fooled a lot of fish. Another pattern that is working well is a size #22 gray RSII-- this is doing a great job of imitating Midge pupas and the occasional Baetis emerger. Trout here are really starting to spread out as well so use your polarized glasses as you walk the bank looking for that feeding trout!

The fishing is great but the crowds close to Denver are thick! Bring some warm clothes, its cold outside! Better bring a big net!  The fishing is great.  Clear skies and 56-59 degree weather. The water temperature was between 40-43 degrees and Crystal Clear.
