Colorado Stream Update: 11 Mile Canyon is crowded, as it tends to be, but the fishing is excellent with the current early Spring weather.

Current Conditions at 11 Mile Canyon:

The Blue Wing Olive insect is fully in play right now at 11 Mile Canyon. Pheasant Tails and Hare's Ears are working great at imitating BWO nymphs, while Mercury RSIIs are absolutely killing it at imitating the emerging life-cycle of the insect. By 1:00pm, fish are rising to BWO adults along slow seams and soft pocket water. These trout are spread out all throughout the river so do a little bit of walking to find a little elbow room from your fellow anglers and you're sure to get into some trout!

The fishing is great.  Clear skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 40-43 degrees and Crystal Clear.
