Colorado Stream Update: The DSP in Carson Nature Center is fishing quite well in this beautiful Spring weather

Current Conditions at Below Chatfield:

Trout here seem to be keyed on the color purple. Not the movie, the actual color. Purple Prince Nymphs and purple Poison Tungstens have been working very well here of late. Look for trout to be stacked up in deep pools as the water temperature has not quite gotten warm enough yet to really see fish moving into faster riffles. So with this in mind come prepared to fish deep, slow water. The takes are still somewhat subtle so the more sight fishing you're able to do the better off you'll be. If you're solely relying on reading the indicator and fishing "fishy" water, set the hook on any pause of that indicator!

The fishing is good.  Clear skies and 56-59 degree weather. The water temperature was between 40-43 degrees and Slightly Off.
