Current Conditions at Deckers:

Ok, so here's the deal with Deckers right now-- she's fishing great! But, and this is a big but, the crowds are extremely thick so finding any kind of elbow room can be difficult. Another aspect to be aware of are the Redds (these are trout spawning beds) in the river right now. Please do not fish to trout on Redds, or walk over them, as the reproductive process is in full bloom right now so let's make sure and be conscious of it so next year's trout population will be nice and healthy. With all that said, the fishing has been stellar of late! Hare's Ears are doing great at imitating the many Stoneflies in the river, but with all the baetis nymphs and emergers in the drift and the sporadic BWO hatches occurring here, RSIIs and JuJu Baetis are the main ticket on the menu. As the water temperature continues to rise look for the BWO hatches to become thicker and thicker which will have the trout keyed on surface feeding, which can be very fun to fish!

The fishing is great.  Clear skies and 52-55 degree weather. The water temperature was between 40-43 degrees and Crystal Clear.
