Colorado Stream Update: The best fly fishing on Boulder Creek continues to be through the town of Boulder

Current Conditions at Boulder Creek:

The sections of Boulder Creek that receive the most sunlight are the most productive right now. Focus your efforts just west of town and work your way down river past the library on Arapahoe and down through town. #16 Hot Wire Prince Nymphs are working great as a lead fly, followed by two smaller midge patterns like Top Secrets and black Zebra Midges. Trout here is mostly pooled up in deeper water but we're starting see more and more fish move into faster riffles feeding in more traditional feeding lanes. The crowds remain light so now is a good time to get some great urban fly fishing in!

The fishing is fair.  Clear skies and 56-59 degree weather. The water temperature was between 36-39 degrees and Crystal Clear.
