Colorado Stream Update: Cooler temps are making for difficult fishing conditions. Nynphing deeper holes is going to be your best shot at hooking fish.

Current Conditions at Eagle:

Gusty winds and cooler weather have been the norm the last couple days making fishing a little more challenging. Ice has made its way back onto the river with floating slush in the morning. Wait until mid-day to early afternoon before going to the river. Chartreuse Eggs trailed by Black Brown, Red & Olive midges have all been working under an indicator. Although the last few outings Brown has been the hot color.

The fishing is fair.  Clear skies and 28-31 degree weather. The water temperature was between 32-35 degrees and Crystal Clear.
